Item 4.01 Changes in Registrant's Certifying Accountant.

On September 4, 2009 we announced in a report filed on Form 8-K that Ernst & Young, LLP was no longer being retained as the independent registered public accounting firm for the ADC Telecommunications, Inc. Retirement Savings Plan (the "Plan").

We provided Ernst & Young with a copy of the report on Form 8-K. We are now amending the report on the Form 8-K to attach a copy of Ernst & Young's letter to the Securities and Exchange Commission, dated September 11, 2009, as Exhibit
16.1. The letter states Ernst & Young's agreement with the disclosures in the report on Form 8-K relative to their service as the registered independent public accounting firm for the Plan.
