On September 16, 2009, Stewart Enterprises, Inc. issued a press release
reporting that its Board of Directors increased its annual cash dividend by 20%
to $0.12 per share compared to the previous $0.10 per share, and the declaration
of a quarterly cash dividend. A copy of this press release is attached hereto as
Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated by reference herein.
