ABS Capital Partners targets companies that have learned their business ABCs. The venture capital firm typically invests $10 million to $30 million per transaction in late-stage US companies in the business services, health care, media and communications, and software sectors. It funds expansions, management buyouts, and recapitalizations. In addition to taking a seat on the board, the firm provides advisory services to its portfolio companies, but does not meddle with day-to-day operations. ABS Capital Partners has interests in more than two dozen companies; it has invested in more than 60 since its 1990 founding.
