Bernie's Audio Video TV Appliance wants you to have more than a weekend of fun with its products. The company operates about 15 stores in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, selling a variety of brand-name electronics and appliances, including home theater and stereo systems, refrigerators, washers and dryers, microwave ovens, vacuums, and digital cameras. It also offers home furniture and mattresses. Bernie's was founded by Bernard ("Bernie") Rosenberg in 1947 when he sold TVs and radios out of his gas station to returning war vets. The first Bernie's TV and Appliance store opened in 1953. Bernie's son, Milton, is the company's CEO.
