AMERIGROUP New York, which does business as AMERIGROUP Community Care, is a community-based HMO that provides health plans to more than 100,000 members in the New York City area. Its Child Health Plus plan offers health care for children without insurance, and its Family Health Plus provides care for to adults who do not qualify for Medicaid. Its Medicaid Managed Care offers health services for Medicaid recipients. It also manages Medicare Advantage plans and provides managed long-term care insurance. Formerly known as CarePlus, the company has been a subsidiary of AMERIGROUP since 2005.
