West Marine has the goods to keep your boat shipshape. It is the nation's #1 boating supplies retailer, offering some 50,000 recreational boating supplies. The company operates about 340 stores under the West Marine name in 38 US states, Canada, and Puerto Rico. (The company's Boat U.S. stores have all been converted to the West Marine banner.) The company also has a pair of franchised stores in Turkey. West Marine's Port Supply division is a wholesale distributor of boating products to commercial, government, and industrial customers. It also offers its products through catalogs and through its Web sites. Founder and chairman Randolph Repass owns about a third of West Marine's shares.
