KDDI is the #2 telecommunications company in Japan, behind giant NTT. KDDI provides some 30 million mobile phone subscribers with wireless voice and mobile Internet services sold under the au brand. Additionally, nearly 5 million home and business subscribers use the company's fixed-line services, which include broadband Internet connection and computer telephony; it also provides traditional international long-distance connection. Fixed-line services are sold under the au one net banner. KDDI also offers wireless and online financial services through a partnership with The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi.
