With a high-flyin' inventory, AeroCentury leases used turboprop aircraft and engines to regional airlines and other commercial customers. The company often buys equipment from an airline, then leases it back to the seller, usually for a term of three to five years. AeroCentury also buys assets already under lease. The company only makes a purchase when it has a customer committed to a lease. Typically, lessees are responsible for any maintenance costs. AeroCentury owns about 30 aircraft, mainly de Havilland and Fokker models. The majority of the company's lease revenues come from airlines headquartered outside the US.
