The planes in Spain (and trains and cars, too) travel mainly thanks to Ferrovial. The engineering and management company provides development, construction, and maintenance services for airports, toll roads, railroads, and parking garages. Ferrovial owns transportation manager Amey and airports operator BAA (both UK-based companies) as well as a majority of international infrastructure operator Cintra. Ferrovial Agromán, the group's main construction unit, is engaged in civil engineering and water treatment plant projects as well as residential construction. Grupo Ferrovial is active in more than 40 countries. Founder Rafael del Pino y Moreno and his family control the company.
