Management consulting and systems integration firm BearingPoint wants to help its clients navigate their way to success across the uncharted seas of modern business and technology. Operating in about 60 countries, the firm provides a variety of consulting services to large and midsized businesses, as well as to government agencies and other enterprises. Overall, US government agencies account for nearly 30% of its total sales. BearingPoint's private-sector practices focus on clients in such industries as communications, consumer goods, financial services, and technology. BearingPoint filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in February 2009 and has begun selling off various operations.
